RECLAIMED RUBBER

Reclaim or Reclaimed rubber is a cured rubber that passes through thermo-chemical process that softens and swells the rubber. The viscosity of the rubber is reduced by shortening the polymer chain by mechanical shear and chemical action.

Reclaimed rubber is a material, made from scrap or waste rubber, which is designed to replace or to supplement new rubber in the manufacturing of rubber products.

Reusing old tyres alone, for instance, can prevent several tons of waste per year. It also uses less energy than producing new rubber. As a matter of fact, by recycling four tires, it reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emissions by over 150 kgs which is the equivalent of saving around 65 litres of gasoline.
